Hilary Muir, co-host of The Breeze Canterbury 94.5FM answers 4 questions in 4 minutes for Grandparents NZ.
Winter is coming… what is your go to winter meal?
Love this question .. can’t choose between making the big chunky cheesy lasagne OR leek and potato soup with crusty bread .. I love making them both!
What do you do to stay healthy in winter in particular?
Had a hamstring injury thats held my running back … so I’ve developed a LOVE for walking and Pilates.
What is your favourite thing about the people of Canterbury?
Warmth and two degrees of separation .. Christchurch is a beautiful cosmopolitan city with a village heart.
What is the most memorable holiday you have ever had?
Every year at the same bach I rent in Kaiteriteri .. AND my trip to South America . We discovered the beauty of the Iguazu Falls .. travelling five thousand feet above sea level to the Salt Flats. Seeing all those mountain men and women grafting a living our of farming Alpaca or knitting socks. We also had amazing red wine and meat!! Rivalled some of our own Canterbury lamb. To top it off, we spent time where Eva Peron lived and ruled the country … and opened her Children’s Orphanage. It was a friend’s 50th birthday too … so that in itself was magic.
